Yellow Cling Peaches
We have three varieties of delicious yellow cling peaches which we typically harvest from our orchard between November and February. These are older varieties – the kind with actual, real flavour!
At Sababa we aim to grow as many different crops and varieties as we can. We believe in the diversification principle of permaculture philosophy, and that including as many different species as possible not only helps regenerate depleted natural resources, and restore harmonious ecosystems, but also makes life more interesting!
Our harvests change with the seasons, so keep an eye on our Facebook page for latest news, or contact us for our latest availability lists, or if you’d like more info.

With an orangey tinge, these seriously aromatic citrus have a unique flavour and offer amazing zest and juice for cooking. We have a few trees on the farm at the moment.
They grow like wild here, and we love having them for their tangy, sweet juicy berries that come in natural biodegradable “capes”.
Although they may be rather difficult to grow organically without the use of chemical pesticides, due to how irresistible they are to pests; we still enjoy growing them. There is nothing quite like lifting a watermelon from a field on a swelteringly hot day after watching it grow for a few weeks, and cutting in to taste the cool, sweet juicy flavour of summer!
We have recently planted a small trial orchard block of two apple varieties which should be ready to harvest fairly soon. Depending on how they fare, we’ll be considering adding more into the orchard’s array.
With vines of both purple and yellow granadillas on the farm growing nicely, we’re considering adding more of the tangy, sweet-sour fruits into the mix.
At the edge of our fruit orchard, we also have an experimental section where we have planted a whole range of fruit trees including mangoes, citrons, cherries, plums, apples, pears, olives, nectarines, thai limes and pomegranates amongst others. The idea here is to test out what likes growing in our little microclimate, rest assured – we’re keeping an eye on each of them and will be planting more accordingly!
